Charismatic burglar Maxim gets into trouble by owing money to dangerous bandits. During another robbery, he witnesses a desperate act committed by the unexpectedly returned landlady Eva: she tries to burn everything that reminds her of a traitorous guy, and in addition commit suicide. Maxim decides to stop Eva and save himself from even more problems.
