This film is based on the novel The Story of Honkg Gil Dong written by Ho Gyun in the 17th century. Gil Dong is a young man gifted with unusual skill and ability, he learns magical arts from Mu Ong and becomes a master. He will create resistance against the nobility system, while trying to recover his family and protect the woman he loves.
