The documentary follows the work of those who, in the aftermath of the outbreak of war, immediately took action, even at the risk of their own lives, to secure works of art and tried to understand why, in the event of war, destroying and plundering works of art is one of the first objectives of invading armies in an attempt to eliminate the culture of a nation to erase its memory and annihilate its essence.
