Texas, 2006. The Passions of Angela Simmons follows Angela, a freshman at the University of Texas in Austin, once a devoted ballet dancer whose career ended abruptly after injury. Adrift in sorority life and the hollow rituals of high society, she returns home over the holidays to prepare for debut as a Houston debutante.
