When Leonard was born with brittle bone disease, he was given a life expectancy of one year. Today, he is in his mid-20s, a screenwriter, director, and actor. Leonard is small in stature, uses a wheelchair, and his body is different. But he lives independently and has a strong charisma and goals that sometimes seem to go beyond his physical capabilities, yet are still achievable.
