Teenage courier Mitya Strekozkin, wanting to escape from the Martian slums to Earth, takes part in a deadly race. But a meeting with the daring racer Vasilisa, whose secret mission threatens his dream, turns his ideas about justice upside down. Soon Mitya will have to uncover a conspiracy, survive betrayal and make a choice between escaping to Earth and fighting for the freedom of Mars.
