Cityscapes (1974) is a 28-minute film focused on conditions in the areas surrounding Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, with interviews of residents and public officials. Notable areas include Loring Park and the surrounding neighborhood, Hennepin Avenue from the Mississippi River to the Walker Art Center (including Block E and the Great Northern Depot), and the newly-built IDS Center. The City of Minneapolis Planning and Development Department (now Community Planning & Economic Development, CPED), the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Minneapolis City Council (under the "City Edges" program) financed this film. The Augsburg University Archives has made it available for educational use. Digitized from color 16mm film on 2025 November 26 by Debenham Media Group. The original film has been cleaned and edited by a professional colorist.
