Michael Scarn, a former secret agent, is called back into action when the villain Goldenface threatens to blow up the NHL All-Star Game. Years earlier, Goldenface killed Scarn's wife, Catherine Zeta-Scarn. This left Scarn emotionally shattered and led to his retirement from espionage. To stop the plot, Scarn teams up with Samuel, his mechanical butler, and other allies. Along the way, he uncovers betrayals, takes part in absurd action scenes, and performs the infamous Scarn Dance— a move that surprisingly becomes critical to defeating the villain. The story concludes with Scarn and Goldenface facing off at the hockey arena, as Scarn tries to save thousands of lives. Dramatic speeches, unlikely twists, extravagant action, and questionable special effects highlight many of the spy-movie clichés that the film embraces.
