A woman lives alone on an uninhabited island, waiting for the return of her husband, a soldier sent to the front. Days, weeks, months go by and the woman feels more and more alone and abandoned. Routine takes over her life and with it, sadness appears. The only solution is to overcome the loss and keep on living. And perhaps making this hard decision will be what allows her to find someone new to share her life with.
