The story follows the journey of Manis, a 25-year-old kindergarten teacher, and her twin sister Manja who is somewhat slow-witted. Manis and Manja live together with their sick mother and grandmother. Manis bears many trials and responsibilities, yet she never complains. Until Manis falls in love with a primary school teacher named Yusuf, and the bond between the siblings begins to waver. Manis and Yusuf plan to get married. Suria, who is obsessed with Yusuf, instigates Manja to prevent their marriage. Manja forces Manis to choose between her or Yusuf.
