In ancient China, the fall of the Later Han dynasty plunges the land into chaos as warlords fight for power. Childhood friends Zhou Yu and Sun Ce, who serve the Sun family of Jiangdong, are bound by an unbreakable bond. After Sun Ce's father, Sun Jian, reveals he possesses the Imperial Seal, he leads his army into battle but is killed by a trap set by Huang Zu. Determined to fulfill his father's dream, Sun Ce inherits both the Seal and his ambition to unite the land. Zhou Yu swears to devote his life to supporting his friend as strategist, leading the Sun forces alongside veteran generals.
