Born on 13 May 1971 in the Dang district of Nepal, Kumud Pant grew up in Teraute village, a small rural area near the Himalayan boundary. Coming from an academic family, both his father and mother were teachers, which instilled in him strong values of education, discipline, and service from an early age. His passion for acting and modeling developed during his childhood and continued to grow as he pursued his dreams despite limited opportunities in his hometown. Kumud Pant completed his school education at Rajhena High School, Dang, and later earned his higher education from Mahendra Multiple Campus, Dang. Seeking broader exposure, he moved to Kathmandu, where he officially entered the modeling world. In 1995, he received his first modeling assignment with the Nepali magazine Satya Katha, marking the beginning of his professional journey. He later made his film debut in the movie Janma Janma, appearing in a supporting role, which further strengthened his foothold in the entertainment industry.
