Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication with a concentration in Film and Audiovisual Studies from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) and graduated with a degree in Film Producing from the EICTV in Cuba. Participated as a "Bammer" at the BAM - Bogotá Audiovisual Market and was selected for Talents Guadalajara 2025. Recently shot the short film ARRUDAS BOULEVARD, which premieres at the 30th REGARD – Saguenay International Short Film Festival and was selected for the 23rd Vienna Shorts, Festival do Rio 2026 (Premiere Brasil), among others. Currently developing the short film PROMETHEUS, now in pre-production and selected for the Cinéma de Demain – SFC | Rendez-vous Industry – Focus SCRIPT 2025, held as part of the Cannes Film Festival. Also developing the feature film ARRUDAS, which was selected for Produire Au Sud Fortaleza 2025, a semifinalist in the FRAPA 2025 Screenplay Contest, and selected and awarded at the 16th Brasil Cinemundi (Prêmio Foco Minas). PURPLE DICTATORSHIP (2020), his directorial debut short film and capstone project, was selected for over 100 national and international film festivals. The short was broadcast on free-to-air TV by Rede Minas and acquired by Canal Brasil. His second short film, AT NIGHT ALL CATS ARE BROWN (2024), a Brazil-Cuba co-production, premiered at the 33rd Curta Cinema - Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival and was selected for the 47th Guarnicê Film Festival, the 35th São Paulo International Short Film Festival - Kinoforum, among others, and was also acquired by Canal Brasil. He is producing the feature film in development THE MESSAGE OF FIRE (Mariana de Melo), selected for the 17th Nuevas Miradas, winner of the Líneas Argumentales award at the CineQuaNon Lab 2024, and participant in the 2025 CineQuaNon Lab Residency. He is also producing the feature film PATAXÓ PASSPORT (Renaya Dorea), selected for FilmAfro Cartagena 2023 (Bolívia Lab - Rally Pitch Award), reached the final stage of the Lab APAN Negras Narrativas 2024, invited to Ventana Sur 2024, and selected for the 2nd Latin American and Caribbean Animation Forum and Alga Estudio Residency 2026. CARMEN was selected to CineQuaNonLab (Líneas Argumentales 2026) and 17th Brasil Cinemundi. Producer of short films selected and awarded at festivals such as the Berlinale, Málaga, Cartagena, Havana, Hong Kong, Bogoshorts, Vienna Shorts, and others. Member of APAN (Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals), API (Independent Producers Association), and co-founder of the production company URSANA FILMES and the distribution company MURMÚRIO FILMES.
