Juan Guerrero Sánchez was only able to make three more feature films: Amelia (1964), Mariana (1967) and Narda o El Verano (1968) - released in theaters on March 5, 1970 -, since he would die of cancer in 1970. At the time of his death he was married to the actress (and later television host) Lourdes Guerrero, with whom he had a son.
