Denis Kiely

Birthplace: Ireland

Denis Kiely has been acting since 2008 as a children's entertainer and branched into stage and film acting in 2015. Denis wrote, produced, directed and starred in several films: 'Two Can Play That Game', a short film about a shopkeeper plagued by a shoplifting epidemic. 'A Cup of Sugar' is a heart tugging drama about an immigrant who is rejected and ridiculed by his boring and colorless neighbors in a middle-class conservative suburban Irish housing estate. Denis portrayed Frank McCann, an Irish murderer who burned his own home to kill his wife and niece in the Irish language TV production, 'Fir, MarĂº agus GrĂ¡' (translation: Men, Murder and Love). Denis played a murder victim in Myles Linehan's 'Smile' in 2016. Denis starred as the comical villain in two features from Brendan Hayes, Haze Productions, 'Macra Girl', 2016 and 'Inlaws & Outlaws', 2018. Denis starred as George in the Inkwell Theatre's production of Marc Camoletti's 'Don't Dress for Dinner' in 2016 and played Aidan, the reluctant groom in his own hit comedy stage production, 'Whiskey for the Brides' at Cork Arts Theatre in 2018.
