Tony Jonick
Birthplace: Honolulu, HawaiiTony Jonick, writer, director, producer and character actor, was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i and raised in the Fiji Islands, and Sydney, Australia before moving to the U.S. He became a filmmaker in 2013, and that year joined the Scary Cow film co-op in San Francisco, where he worked on scores of films. He has directed several short films and music videos, including the award winning Grandmama Tlzédeczkanü Comes to America (2015), and The Ghosts of Highway 20 (2017), shown at San Diego Comic Con & the 2018 World Science Fiction Convention. In 2022 he presented Ghost in the Gun at San Diego Comic Con. San Francisco Stories, made with Phase 4 Films, is his first feature. As a complete filmmaker, he has also worked as a producer, editor, sound designer, and unit stills photographer. He is a published author, poet, and playwright.
