Deniz Uymaz was born in Istanbul, Turkiye. After graduating from Cagaloglu Anatolian High School, he earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Yildiz Technical University. Alongside his profession, he has written short stories and directed films. His short film, The Tamed (2023), was selected and awarded at several national and international film festivals. He is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland where he works as an engineer and continues to pursue his passion for filmmaking.
