AKA: Raj Prahast MaheswarapuM.R. Prahast ( aka Raj Prahast Maheswarapu ) is a versatile music composer, producer, and filmmaker based in Tallahassee, Florida. Known for fusing modern pop and '80s-inspired sounds with Indian vocal traditions, his work spans original songs, film scores, music videos, and commercials. Influenced by A.R. Rahman, Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, and Max Martin, Prahast crafts emotionally rich soundscapes with cinematic storytelling. His hands-on approach as a filmmaker includes directing, editing, and color grading, as seen in Cruel Love (2023). He also composed for the Kannada-language film Naale Rajaa Koli Majaa (2025), which premiered in U.S. theaters and screened at festivals including Asian Pop-Up Cinema in Chicago.
