Kayra Aydın, born in Istanbul, has been passionate about video and photography since childhood. Following this interest, he pursued his education at Istanbul Bilgi University’s Department of Radio, Television, and Film with a full scholarship. During his university years, Kayra focused on developing his skills in cinematography, taking on roles as both director and director of photography in numerous short films, music videos, and various video productions. His films have achieved recognition at several festivals. The short film Apotemnophilia, for which he served as director of photography, was awarded “Top Rated Film” at Filminute 2024. His own short film No Chef, which he wrote and directed, was a finalist at the Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF).
