Barry Atkins is a filmmaker and teacher based in Brighton, UK. Upon graduating from Brunel University with a degree in English and American Studies, Barry embarked on a globe-trotting career in Higher Education in Poland, Qatar, Oman, the UAE and the USA. While working in Dubai, Barry helped to produce, write and edit multiple award-winning short films. He has been a supervisor, consultant and producer of more than 500 student films, documentaries and corporate projects. Upon moving to Houston, Texas in 2016, Barry established Echo Film School and Studio and continued to produce, write, direct and edit award-winning short films over the next four years. Barry returned to the UK in 2020 to lead Creative Process Digital's flagship video production course in Brighton and is currently the City Producer for the 48 Hour Film Project.
