Luis Armando Pacheco Larrea
Luis Armando Pacheco Larrea is a Mexican writer and director whose work spans music videos, TV, films, and documentaries. He got his start at the Asociación Mexicana de Cineastas Independientes, learning from filmmakers like Raúl Quintanilla and Enrique Rentería, and later earned a diploma in Film Production from Toronto Film School. Luis began making films for fun in high school and has since worn many hats, including director, actor, and producer, across genres such as animation, comedy, and horror. He's also the founder of LaTina Productions and Cortese el Pelo Films, two boutique production companies. His short films: A Robbery in Spanish won Best Comedy Film and Best Cinematography at the New Jersey Film Awards (April 2025 Edition), and Calaverita A La Muerte (A Death Poem Dedicated to Death) won Best Cinematography at the New Jersey Film Awards (July 2025 Edition). Now based in Toronto, Luis continues to direct commercials and films with his signature mix of humor and heart.
