Javier Prado Bedoya



Javier Prado (Lima). He is a producer, director, and filmmaker of animated cartoons. He has worked in film, video, multimedia, and currently on digital platforms. He has produced thirteen animated short films with production companies such as Procesca Films, Chimu Films, and Andina del Cine, where he made his last 35mm short film, "The Curfew," which won an award from the Peruvian Filmmakers Association in 1994. He also directed the television film "Encountering Jesus," considered one of the first Peruvian animated feature films of its time. He has worked for various media outlets as an illustrator, designer, comic book artist, and cartoonist, including the newspaper "Página Libre" (1991), the weekly magazine "Monos y Monadas" (1992-2000-2013), the newspaper "Expreso" (1992-1994), the newspaper "Gestión," and the newspaper "El Comercio" (2000-2013). She also participates in the "Club Nazca de la Historieta" collective, working to preserve and promote the works of comic artists and authors. Currently, she teaches Animation in the Digital Animation program at Toulouse Lautrec.
