Sofia Malkassian is a third-generation filmmaker based in Malibu and San Francisco. She studied Film and Television Production at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. Her work centers on women and people from cultures outside the American mainstream, told without sanitizing them. Over eight years she has worked across television, features, indies, documentary and emerging media. She served as Executive Producer on Billiard Baby, USC's Endowed Drama Television Capstone, and is an Associate Producer on Amerikatsi, shortlisted for the 2024 Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
